CORGI the governing body for all gas installers nationally, have awarded Heatwise (Fylde) Ltd. Gas Installer of the year 2005 "highly commended". The award ceremony took place at Telford International Centre, where 1,000 people attended from all over the country. The ceremony was hosted by Corgi and 10 national awards were presented by TV comedian Jimmy Carr.

Heatwise (Fylde) Ltd is a Fylde based company serving Preston, Freckleton, Warton, Blackpool, Lytham St. Anne's and Ansdell. Many of our customers nominated us to Corgi for these awards along with suppliers, manufacturers and the Corgi inspectors.

We have 11 employees, 2 of which are designated installer operatives dealing with gas appliances and plumbing, 3 trainee/apprentice, 2 operative designated to service and maintenance of gas appliances, 1 counter sales person for trade and retail and 1 office manager. The owner of the company for the last 2 years is Adrian Whitehead who took over from the previous owner Dave Smith. Heatwise is 24 years old and has served all Fylde and Preston district for many of those years.

The business is family run and has an extensive database of customers who use Heatwise regularly. It is from some of these customers who we are thankful to, for submitting nominations to Corgi for the awards, along with suppliers, manufacturers and of course Corgi inspectors.

With many a story in the media about "cowboy gas engineers" etc. it is very exciting that a North West family company like Heatwise has had the opportunity of not only being nominated but receiving a "highly commended" award for Gas installation work in our local area out of 20,000 gas installers nationally in the 2 - 4 operative category.
